A trip to central South America, home to the worlds largest population of Jaguars.

This was my first trip to South America to see one of the top cats in the world, the Jaguar. Evidently this cat adapts to its surroundings based on the prey animals that are available. The other unique attribute of the Jaguar is that they hunt during the day so we saw over 30 specimens in just 10 days. We did get to see the now iconic hunt of the Caiman alligator where a Jaguar perched on an overlook lept down onto the back of a 6' Caiman and then drug the animal back into the jungle. Over the course of the trip, we saw hunts for Capybara and iguana's as well.
